So finally a wedding post after a brief break from blogging weddings, I really hope you enjoy this one because it’s been one year in the making:)Thanks to the one and only Paosin for second shooting this wedding with me. Yetunde and Tayo are no strangers to the blog, you can see their London Engagement shoot here. It was truly an honor to have photographed this lovely couple.

Since I don’t really have much to say and can’t wait to share these gorgeous pics with you, I will let the couple do the talking. I will start with a little note from them.

” Our Wedding was an absolute blast! Even though it’s been almost a year we are still buzzing from the excitement. As a couple who thoroughly enjoyed planning the wedding it was great to see it all come together. Choosing a photographer was a no brainier for us. As soon as I saw Dotuns work I was completely sold! I knew he definitely had to shoot our wedding. Even though we were in 3 different Continents lol we just had to make it work cause I really could not bring myself to choose another photographer” – Bride and Groom
“Choosing Dotun was one of the best decisions we made. Dotun literally helped us plan the wedding from the very beginning. He wanted to know every single detail about the wedding and he was absolutely fine for me to buzz him at odd hours (blame the time difference) to discuss a shade of pink! Even when we had last minute crisis with our wedding programs Dotun the Great came to the rescue:-)such dedication.  We not only gained a great Photographer, we certainly gained a friend”

Groom Getting Ready

“My favorite part of the day was definitely our first look. When Dotun first suggested it to me I was like absolutely not! Good thing I changed my mind and convinced Tayo too. This was the ultimate best decision we took. The best moment was the look on his face when he turned around and saw me:-)I was so emotional ( and I thought I would never cry) it was like time stopped and it was just the 2 of us:-)I am so grateful that we got to share that moment just basking in the euphoria. Everything else after that was a blur it all happened so fast lol.” – Bride

“I knew the idea of first look at weddings is relatively new for weddings in Nigeria but coming to think of it I think it’s a necessity knowing how things can get crazy after the ceremony, I’m glad Yetunde and Tayo went for it”

First Look in Nigeria Lagos

“Our reception was soo much fun. Our wedding planners Oaken events really did go over and beyond for us, Ayiri and her team completely captured our vision with the decor and flow of the day. We wanted a very elegant and classy yet super fun wedding and they definitely made it happen:-).  So many fab moments stood out. From  cutting our cake while my friend sang Etta James At Last, to Tayo and my mum dancing Ganganm Style (epic moment), to Tayos grandma schooling us on how to dance Etighi, to Tayos beautiful speech, to a surprise strip dance from Tayo lol to the deejay slaying us with the music. It was a complete blast” – Bride

“I think my fav was Bride’s mum and Tayo’s Ganganm Style dance off! Truly epic! Reception was so much fun I could create 2 blog post and still not run out of pictures” – Dotun

The couple took a quick time out to grandma’s table for a quick celebration dance…you can tell she was excited

But I wasn’t ready for the next moment:)

Tayo and Yetunde’s mom Gangnam style dance it!

I remember this moment, if Bimpe actually fell, this would have been a different shot entirely…thanks to the fast guys

“Our wedding signs were completely unscripted. We totally forgot about them until the end of the night and I remembered. As soon as we started taking the pics one of our favorite songs ‘Omo Pastor’ started playing we just forgot the pics we were taking and started freestyling/dancing lol ” – Bride

“Normally, couples hold the sign up and it’s done but this one was so different and fun. Femi and I couldn’t enough of it, you look at these pics and feel the energy and excitement in the air” – Dotun

“God almighty we were exhausted!!!! I thought Dotun would be tired to and just let us rest but no o, he came to drag us to complete the final look. I still don’t know how we managed that, Dotun didn’t even answer us with all our grumblings lol. I think the shots turned out great considering how tired we were lol.” – Bride

“I always tell my destination brides that I didn’t come all the way from DC to chill in my hotel room without getting my money shots:)I’ve been shooting the last looks for about 3yrs now and I couldn’t imagine leaving a wedding without it…I’ really glad we did it, these are the shots I use to close out the wedding book” – Dotun
