Lola and Wale – The Street Engagement Shoot

Hello Blog stalkers! Another special blog entry today. I told you I was going to be giving you lots of sneak peeks of my couples for this year, so here’s another one. Wale Ariztos as most people know him is also a photographer in the DMV area. In a way I was hoping just be a guest at his wedding but instead he and Lola agreed I should document their special day, I felt really honored but at the same time pressured that I will be shooting a photographers wedding The concept behind our first shoot was just to go out and shoot in unconventional places with the their traditional attire. I know most of you would expect us to be in a private park shooting this sort but we decided to try something else. I must give kudos to Lola who was willing try crazy ideas from myself and Wale, I think she will agree with me that it’s the boldest thing she’s ever done Ladies and Gentlemen….Lola and Wale!

A lot of you might know Zenab for her makeup work and it’s no secret that we’ve worked together over the years on various projects especially weddings and in my own opinion one the best makeup artist out there. I felt so honored when Tunde and Zenab contacted me to be their Wedding Photographer. Now I have to get used to shooting her and not her brides or models Here are my faves from a contemporary hot shoot we did in Washington DC – Zenab and Tunde totally rocked it! So I didn’t want to leave my viewers without an update this week and by now you know I love silhouettes. Here is a shot from Shola and Taiwo’s wedding last year at the National Harbor in DC. This shot was really about timing and I almost didn’t take it but thanks to Taiwo’s groomsmen who quickly moved into position to make it happen. Have a nice weekend!
