When Christina and Eldra came for consultation, we kicked it off talking about the long list of friends who I’ve shoot their weddings or knew from Howard, so almost instantly we were friends before they even became a client. You know when two doctors come together, I expect a serious geeky looking couple in most case – I was wrong, these two are easy going and just fun to hang out with. I’ve been very lucky this year to have awesome drama free brides and Christina is no exception.
Eldra probably doesn’t remember this but during our first meeting at my studio, Ethan(my younger son) fell and busted his lip and I wasted no time calling Eldra from downstairs to the rescue. Eldra came and did his thing and assured me things will be ok. Folks, that’s my type of client
We shot the first set of pictures at one of my favorite gardens in the East Coast – Longwood Gardens. The rest were shot in downtown DC and Howard University where they met. Please enjoy my faves from their e-shoot.
The speak no evil and hear no evil pose – one of my favorite classic things to do at e-shoots.
I always give the groom a chance to direct a few poses and here is Eldra’s
A quick museum shoot. This orange room at the Modern Art museum was a beauty to shoot in.
We took the shoot back to school of medicine where they met. They met in this auditorium. So the collage below is my version of what happened. Christina said not exactly and I told her it’s my blog so I’m sticking to my story
Now don’t ask me how Eldra got back there
I couldn’t find any better way to close this post – I love this shot with the medical school in the background.
