A lot of you might know Zenab for her makeup work and it’s no secret that we’ve worked together over the years on various projects especially weddings and in my own opinion one the best makeup artist out there. I felt so honored when Tunde and Zenab contacted me to be their Wedding Photographer. Now I have to get used to shooting her and not her brides or models Here are my faves from a contemporary hot shoot we did in Washington DC – Zenab and Tunde totally rocked it! Mercy and Ehinomen Shoot – Hotel Palomar, Washington DC

I guess you can call this a sneak peek post as to what to expect next year. Meet my hot and sexy couple Mercy and Ehinomen. Like many of my brides, Mercy has been following my work for sometime now, so it was a no-brainer decision when it came to choosing her wedding photographer. I must confess that I don’t think I’ve met a bride that smiles as much as Mercy or maybe I have but she is definitely up there. For this shoot, we wanted something that looked like a quick photoshoot right before they left their hotel for dinner and we accomplished just that. As many of you might know, I shoot fashion and beauty when I’m not shooting weddings, so I jump on every opportunity to shoot my couples in a similar setting. Expect more non-conventional engagement images like this on the blog in weeks and months to come. Thanks to the staff of Hotel Palomar for putting up with us. And of course, the shoot wasn’t possible without Wale’s help and Makeup artist – Ontaeia of Face to Face. See their save the date site here. A little story behind this shot. This was actually the hotel restaurant, we were bold enough to quickly close the main entrance door to get this shot and as we shot we prayed that no guest or manager came around You should have seen the look on Mercy’s face when I suggested the idea

Yemisi and Ayo – Part 2

As promised, here is Yemisi and Ayo’s second post. If you visited their last blog entry then you already have a hint of their personalities – fun and relaxed. Well, they have a romantic side too as you would see We shot the first part in Old Town Alexandria and the others in Silver Spring and Baltimore. Come back to see their beautiful wedding in a few weeks.

Their engagement book was a solid 10 by 15, almost the size of my wedding albums.

Yemi & Sanmi Engaged

My last post was my 6-11-11 couple now here is my 9-10-11 couple. I’ve had the pleasure of shooting Yemi and Sanmi over the last few months and choosing my favorites from their shots was really very difficult, so I wouldn’t bore you with too many just my favorite 25. We shot in a couple of places including National Harbor, BWI bike trail, Greenbelt and of course downtown DC right in front of the capital, as in it gets no better that that. They had their beautiful traditional wedding yesterday and I’m looking forward to tomorrow already.

As you may have noticed we shot some of these scenes in low-light, so I want to send a special thanks to the crew(Sanmi’s brothers and bestman) who came out to assist. I couldn’t be any more thankful to these guys who came out late to assist with our shoot even at midnight…yes, we shot the capital shots close to midnight…like I would always say “anything for the shot”

Note – No photoshopping of the backgrounds in any of the shots below taken at the harbor, it was a matter of timing and exposure.

And here is a preview of their engagement book, UPS dropped this off few mins after I published this post. My pictures can’t do this book justice, you really have to hold it in hand to understand. A few people have asked why I shoot the way I do and I tell them I shoot for print. The look of these shots in print is what I look forward to.

Altreisha & Oladi – Philadelphia Shoot

Altreisha and Oladi are no strangers to the blog, their previous post was here. I shot their wedding in Minneapolis a few months back and all I can say is I don’t think Minneapolis had seen wedding or party that nice in a long time. Their wedding pics will be featured pretty soon but for now enjoy the second part of their shoot all done downtown, Philadelphia. Thanks to Nneka for styling and Godwin for assisting.
